Michael Kors Store Design Project Manager

1. Create schematic designs for new stores and produce sketches/elevations to support executive review and approval.
2. Manage and coordinate external consultants and vendors, including production architects, engineers, renderers and furniture suppliers.
3. Oversee design development and the production of construction documents; review, redline and approve architectural and engineering deliverables.
4. Review and approve millwork, storefront and signage shop drawings to ensure consistency with the design intent.
5. Resolve landlord review comments to secure approvals while protecting the store design concept.
6. Coordinate with the visual department to deliver merchandising collateral (mannequins, product enhancers, graphics, artwork) to stores.
7. Research and source alternative finishes and millwork to achieve cost savings and maintain design quality.
8. Participate in the collaborative design of new fixtures and store models and propose solutions for issues affecting schedule, cost or design integrity across multiple projects.

1. Degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
2. Minimum 5+ years professional experience; retail architecture/interior experience preferred.
3. Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently under aggressive timelines with strong initiative.
4. Excellent presentation skills; able to tailor communications to executive and operational audiences.
5. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize work independently.
6. Availability to travel as required.

At least 5 years of professional experience, ideally with a background in retail architecture or interior design and demonstrated experience delivering store projects from schematic design through construction documentation.

Architecture or Interior Design degree.
