- Oversee the full talent journey from acquisition to offboarding for a cluster of stores.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify necessary profiles and skills, and determine acquisition strategies.
- Source, identify, and interview candidates to ensure alignment with business needs and culture.
- Prepare compensation proposals and draft employment offers.
- Manage onboarding processes in partnership with the Retail Learning Manager.
- Proactively build a pipeline of candidates and stay informed on local market intelligence, hiring trends, and competition.
- Ensure maintenance of FTE budget and alignment of staff costs, headcount, and HR KPIs.
- Oversee talent management through reviews and development plans.
- Identify, develop, retain, and plan succession for talents within the organization.
- Administer annual performance appraisal and merit review processes.
- Coach and challenge retail leadership to develop their leadership capabilities.
- Manage in-store employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with employment laws across Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, and Alberta.
- Coach and educate managers on employee relations skills such as conflict resolution and de-escalation.
- Significant experience in an HR generalist role with direct client group responsibility.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding or interest in retail.
- Comprehensive knowledge of talent acquisition, management, and development best practices.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Experience in managing and driving organizational and cultural change.
- Ability to influence and interact effectively at all levels to meet talent and business expectations.
- Thorough knowledge of employee and labor relations laws, regulations, and practices.
- Proficiency in both English and French.
