- Oversee the entire talent journey from acquisition to offboarding for a cluster of stores.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify required profiles and skills, and determine acquisition strategies.
- Source, identify, and interview candidates to ensure alignment with business needs and culture.
- Prepare compensation proposals and draft employment offers.
- Manage onboarding processes in partnership with the Retail Learning Manager.
- Proactively build a pipeline of candidates and stay informed on local market intelligence.
- Ensure maintenance of FTE budget and alignment of staff costs, headcount, and HR KPIs.
- Oversee talent management through reviews and development plans.
- Ensure identification, development, retention, and succession planning of talents.
- Manage annual performance appraisal and merit review processes.
- Provide coaching and support to retail leadership to enhance leadership capabilities.
- Manage in-store employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with employment laws across multiple provinces.
- Coach and educate managers on employee relations skills.
- Significant experience in an HR generalist role with direct client group responsibility.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding or interest in retail.
- Comprehensive knowledge of talent acquisition, management, and development best practices.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Experience in managing organizational and cultural change.
- Ability to influence and interact effectively at all levels.
- Thorough knowledge of employee and labor relations laws and practices.
- Proficiency in both English and French.
- Strategic thinking and alignment of talent strategies with business objectives.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong coaching and mentoring abilities.
- Proficiency in talent acquisition and development.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
A minimum of 5 years in a human resources generalist role, with experience in retail preferred.
