Responsibilities
- Ensure the sourcing and optimization of leather suppliers, maintaining control over the quality excellence of materials.
- Contribute to the research and selection of leather materials and suppliers for prototyping, sampling, and production in close collaboration with product development teams.
- Guarantee the adherence to quality standards for leather raw materials through selection, inspection, and quality control activities at supplier sites.
- Manage the procurement of raw materials, including negotiation of purchase terms, supply contracts, order scheduling, and supplier follow-ups, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with Planning and Operations, Technical/Industrialization Offices, Quality Control, and Raw Materials Warehouses to optimize order management, deliveries, and inventory control.
- Work closely with the Administration department for supplier accounting.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in leather selection and purchasing from tanneries.
Skills
- Strong ability to liaise with leather suppliers.
- Proficient negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel throughout Italy.
