- Process bi-weekly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees in the US and Canada, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Support urgent payroll requests from senior leadership, including off-cycle payments and adjustments.
- Develop and maintain strong controls and procedures for accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Identify, research, and resolve payroll discrepancies, implementing preventive measures.
- Handle complex payroll transactions such as pay adjustments for international employees, clothing allowances, and garnishments.
- Process quarter-end and year-end pay and tax adjustments, ensuring compliance with laws.
- Stay updated on legislation and regulatory changes affecting payroll.
- Collaborate with HR Business partners for terminations, bonuses, and other payments.
- Manage post-payroll reporting and processes, including error resolution and monthly reports.
- Support system implementations with analysis and testing.
- Ensure successful management of pension schemes and benefit-related payments.
- 5+ years of experience in payroll processing.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPS.
- Strong time management skills.
- Experience with payroll reporting and audit procedures.
- Knowledge of multi-state payroll tax laws.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to research and interpret payroll-related topics.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
A minimum of 5 years in payroll processing, with a focus on multi-state payroll tax laws and complex payroll transactions.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
