Hermès Textile Embellishment Assistant Intern

- Contribute to the daily organization and smooth operation of the studio, including handling shipments, photocopying, scanning, and tidying.
- Provide logistical support for fitting preparations in the studio and fitting rooms.
- Occasionally assist with dressing mannequins and photographing fittings.
- Update digital documents related to embroidery.
- Maintain boards, binders, and sample racks regularly and in preparation for fittings.
- Ensure proper archiving and return of samples borrowed from suppliers.
- Archive samples developed throughout the season.
- Create explanatory sheets for project progress, including modifications or improvements in technique, color, scale, and pattern.
- Assist in motif placement using Illustrator and/or Photoshop.
- Create paper mock-ups as needed.
- Apply basic pattern-making knowledge.
- Develop color variations of seasonal motifs according to color palettes.
- Support iconographic research following briefs using Hermès archives, internet, vintage sources, and other resources.
- Contribute creative ideas for the development of embellishments, embroideries, and specific finishes.
- Engage in mock-up work, including textile manipulations and needle embroidery.
- Demonstrate aesthetic sensitivity and proficiency in Photoshop/Illustrator.
- Currently enrolled in an applied arts school, preferably specializing in textiles or fashion, with prior studio experience.
- Eligible for an internship agreement from the educational institution for the entire duration of the internship.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Color, composition, and material sensitivity.
- Fashion culture awareness and openness to other artistic expressions.
- Team spirit and collaboration.
- Dynamism, creativity, and curiosity.
- Knowledge of English and/or Italian is advantageous.
Prior experience within a studio environment is preferred.
Currently pursuing a degree in applied arts, preferably with a focus on textiles or fashion.
