Hermès Materials Quality Manager

- Coordinate and oversee the quality assurance processes for knit materials and indirect supply chains.
- Advise and support team members on material-related issues without assuming their responsibilities.
- Implement and organize operational quality procedures to ensure material compliance with Hermès standards.
- Contribute to the development and evolution of material specifications.
- Analyze material risks and product associations during the development phase.
- Lead quality risk reviews each season and communicate key performance indicators.
- Define control plans for suppliers to ensure quality and safety compliance.
- Collect and monitor test results from suppliers, synthesizing findings for internal stakeholders.
- Alert collection and production teams of non-conformities and initiate corrective actions.
- Participate in product compliance processes as needed.
- Establish quality standards for materials in production when necessary.
- Collect compliant samples for testing in China and Korea, ensuring timely resolution of non-conformities.
- Evaluate and rationalize wear test requirements during the collection phase.
- Plan and manage the wear test budget.
- Ensure the homologation of permanent product models over time.
- Define and analyze relevant KPIs for supplier compliance and quality audits.
- Conduct supplier audits, providing SWOT analysis feedback and supporting continuous improvement.
- Coordinate quality alerts and corrective action plans across production teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through quality indicators and supplier progress plans.
- Degree in textile engineering from institutions such as ENSAIT, ITECH, or ENSISA.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience in a high-end or luxury brand.
- Strong knowledge of materials and associated testing.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Italian is an advantage.
- Autonomy and teamwork skills.
- Diplomatic communication abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in quality management tools and techniques.
3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role within a high-end or luxury brand.
Degree in textile engineering from institutions such as ENSAIT, ITECH, or ENSISA.
