- Develop, refine, and manufacture bespoke or small series pieces autonomously or collaboratively.
- Contribute to the production of custom interior projects for aircraft, boats, and vehicles.
- Create prototypes and develop custom projects in domains such as leatherwork, upholstery, and trimming.
- Engage in research and development of new work techniques.
- Collaborate with designers and engineers during the development and realization of pieces.
- Work in conjunction with other artisans and industrial experts, such as cabinetmakers, sculptors, and automotive restorers.
- Share knowledge and expertise with team members on various projects.
- Estimate labor time and occasionally travel to sites for measurements and skill transfer.
- Perform occasional cutting and preparation tasks.
- Participate in the maintenance and upkeep of the workshop as part of a team.
- 10+ years of experience in leather upholstery and trimming.
- Autonomous, organized, and enjoys teamwork.
- Proficient in all skills of a leather upholsterer: measurements, templates, hand and machine sewing, gluing techniques, assembly, and finishing mastery.
- Desire to develop in a workshop with exceptional craftsmanship, functioning like a design office.
- Meticulous, adaptable, curious, with a penchant for technical solutions and aesthetic sensibility.
- Trained as a leather upholsterer with proven autonomy in execution.
- Versatile, able to collaborate in a project mode with a strong team spirit.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, adaptability, and open-mindedness.
- Expertise in leather upholstery techniques.
