Hermès Lead Data Engineer

- Lead the industrialization of the data platform infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Oversee the deployment and maintenance of dedicated environments (Dev/Preprod/Production).
- Automate deployment and maintenance using infrastructure as code tools like Terraform on GCP.
- Implement observability solutions (monitoring, alerting) within GCP.
- Guide the Data team in data transformation activities, including maintaining data pipelines in Python (batch and stream).
- Develop SQL/SQLX transformation pipelines in DataForm.
- Establish and maintain data quality tools (e.g., Great Expectations in Python).
- Assist in developing workers in AWS to retrieve data from Kafka and send it to PubSub in GCP.
- Collaborate with the data team to standardize codebase (linting, CI/CD, various tests).
- Maintain and create architecture schemas and internal process documentation.
- Collaborate with other Data teams: data analysts, SEO/SEA, and emailing.
- Ensure data privacy and security in compliance with GDPR and internal policies.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Data Engineering roles.
- Master's degree in Engineering, Big Data, Mathematics, or equivalent.
- Sensitivity to digital e-commerce challenges.
- Strong organizational, meticulous, curious, and autonomous nature.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to self-learn technical aspects.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL is essential.
- Experience in collaborative code development (DevOps) is desired.
- Familiarity with streaming technologies (Apache Beam, DataFlow, Kafka, PubSub, SNS/SQS) is necessary.
- Experience with BigQuery is highly recommended.
- Knowledge of GCP tools (or equivalent cloud platforms) is highly recommended.
- Experience with ETL tools (Cloud DataPrep, DataIku, Alteryx) is a plus.
- Knowledge of machine learning is a plus.
A minimum of 7 years in Data Engineering roles, with a focus on digital and e-commerce environments.
Master's degree in Engineering, Big Data, Mathematics, or equivalent.
