Hermès Intern - Decorative Object Design Assistant

- Assist in the development of decorative objects within the design team.
- Collaborate with various departments to take projects from concept to final prototype.
- Adapt motifs to Hermès' artisanal techniques such as leather marquetry, embroidery, hot stamping, perforation, printing, and hand painting.
- Develop seasonal color palettes.
- Create full-scale 3D models using paper and cardboard.
- Produce full-scale prints and cutouts.
- Occasionally draft plans.
- Update and format creative communication tools including nomenclatures, color ranges, mood boards, and collection summaries.
- Conduct iconographic research on specific topics.
- Match colors and update the digital color library.
- Assist in preparing project validation meetings.
- Manage the sending and receiving of prototypes.
- Currently a fourth-year student or higher in an applied arts school.
- Passionate about object design and the art of living.
- Eager to engage in a versatile role that offers exposure to various artisanal techniques and the development of decorative objects.
- Interest and skill in composing decorations on volumes with a strong sensitivity to color.
- Possess an artistic culture and a taste for iconography.
- Detail-oriented, organized, meticulous, and a team player.
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is essential.
- Knowledge of Solidworks is advantageous.
No prior professional experience required, but a strong academic background in applied arts is necessary.
Currently enrolled in a fourth-year or higher program at an applied arts school.
