Hermès Finance Manager

- Supervise the regular booking of all accounting entries in SAP and ensure necessary accounts reconciliation.
- Report monthly closing and other analyses to the Senior Finance Manager.
- Ensure processes such as credit controls, tax returns, and vendor invoice reviews are timely and compliant with local accounting rules.
- Oversee financial operations of the Hong Kong subsidiary, including control systems, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate with external auditors and consultants to ensure audits, payroll, tax, and logistics are conducted accurately and timely.
- Manage mid-year and year-end stock take processes in both boutique and external warehouses.
- Oversee the obsolete inventory process and renew necessary licenses.
- Manage the preparation of the annual budget and three-year plan, including reforecasting and variance analysis.
- Monitor profitability through detailed analyses of sales, margins, purchases, stock levels, and expenses.
- Ensure proper control of CAPEX, overhead, and communication expenses.
- Prepare business plans for investment projects and conduct project cost analysis and reforecasting.
- Identify areas of risk, alert management, and suggest corrective actions.
- Review monthly sales reconciliations with retail cash, credit card, and customer credit.
- Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and supervise dividend cycles and intercompany loan agreements.
- Ensure Hermès Group procedures are respected and act as a local correspondent for internal control.
- Follow up on board meetings and resolutions, prepare legal documents, and review contracts as necessary.
- Lead and train the Senior Accountant in Hong Kong, recruit and empower team members.
- Maintain relationships with financial institutions, auditors, consultants, and local subsidiaries.
- Act as a business partner with the commercial team, other functional teams, and store managers.
- Degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in an audit/accounting firm or financial management in a multinational company.
- Fluency in English and Chinese; French is a plus.
- Strong team player, organized, and self-motivated.
- Detail-oriented and fully hands-on and operational.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a country with strong administrative constraints.
- Strong ability to work autonomously.
A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in an audit/accounting firm or in financial management within a multinational company is required.
Degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting.
