Hermès Development Manager

Hermès Manufacture de Métaux (HMM), a division specializing in high-quality metal components primarily for leather goods, operates six industrial sites in Europe, employing 900 skilled artisans in machining, polishing, and surface treatment of precious metals.
- Develop and manage the strategic roadmap for product development to meet technical and commercial objectives for both internal and external clients.
- Lead a team of technical development managers and a cross-functional project manager to execute the development roadmap across various manufacturing sites.
- Supervise, coordinate, and prioritize technical requests from internal and external clients, ensuring alignment and data consistency across production sites.
- Anticipate, manage, and mitigate development and product risks, communicating these to senior management with associated action plans.
- Ensure the reliability of Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) metrics for product launches.
- Centralize and manage innovation transitions and product improvements.
- Oversee the development Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with various departments.
- Supervise the update of client specifications and technical documentation.
- Coordinate the sharing of best practices and standardization of development processes within the group.
- Manage the administration of industry tools such as SolidWorks and PDM, ensuring skill development across the group.
- Directly manage a central support team of four and ensure effective cross-functional management within development teams.
- Foster collaboration with the Industrial and Supply Chain departments.
- Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in product design, project management, and team leadership.
- Experience in client interfacing is recommended.
- Strong leadership and influence skills.
- Ability to reassure clients and enhance team competencies.
- Proficiency in harmonizing practices across teams.
