Hermès Conservation Assistant Intern

- Assist in the management of the Emile Hermès Collection, including logistics and movement of artworks.
- Receive and catalog new acquisitions, ensuring proper installation and tracking within storage facilities.
- Oversee logistical aspects of restoration, framing, and mounting of artworks.
- Coordinate logistics for exhibition loans, including drafting packing specifications and condition reports.
- Mark and label artworks for identification and tracking purposes.
- Order materials for packaging and preventive conservation as needed.
- Participate in the management of artworks during museum events, maintenance, or construction activities.
- Update the Ajaris photo library with inventory records and photographs of artworks.
- Conduct periodic inventory checks and document findings.
- Draft labels and notices for exhibitions, publications, and store decor.
- Perform documentary research related to the collection.
- Advanced degree in Art History, Art Management, or Cultural Management, ideally with training or experience in preventive conservation.
- Proficiency in documentation and familiarity with Ajaris is advantageous.
- Strong writing skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Precision and attention to detail.
- Methodical and rigorous approach.
- Interest in cultural heritage and artistic sensitivity.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Relevant experience in art conservation, collection management, or cultural heritage is preferred.
Advanced degree in Art History, Art Management, or Cultural Management.
Internship provides valuable experience in a prestigious luxury fashion house with exposure to cultural heritage management.
