Accounts Payable Accountant

The employer is a leading luxury fashion group with a global presence, operating a Shared Service Centre in the UK. The company is renowned for its high-quality products and innovative designs, offering a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

1. Ensure accurate and efficient recording of expense and stock purchases in company ledgers.
2. Follow company accounting controls and procedures in financial transaction processing.
3. Facilitate communication with other departments and external suppliers.
4. Register and input supplier invoices into the JDE Accounting system.
5. Follow up on invoice authorisations and approvals.
6. Assist in the preparation of payment runs and ensure timely payment to creditors.
7. Prepare reconciliations between ledger and supplier statements.
8. Address queries from external suppliers and other departments.
9. Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts.
10. Support other team tasks and areas of work as needed.

1. Fluent in English; knowledge of French is a benefit.

1. Experience with JDE accounting software is beneficial.
2. Excellent understanding of Excel, including Pivot tables.
3. Good communication skills, both in person and in writing.
4. Autonomous and proactive with commercial awareness.
5. Ability to work with frequent and tight deadlines.
6. Committed to quality and attention to detail.
7. Strong team player.
8. Conscientious with the initiative to resolve issues quickly and accurately.
9. Ability to handle multiple currencies.
10. Good AP reconciliation skills.
