Christian Dior Retail Merchandising Manager - Shoes

- Lead the performance management of the shoe product category, focusing on growth objectives and sell-through rates.
- Act as the liaison between the Business Unit and regional teams, effectively communicating global strategies and gathering market insights.
- Coordinate collection schedules in alignment with cross-category themes and ensure seamless execution with Supply Chain teams.
- Facilitate interactions with the Product Marketing team for the shoe category.
- Contribute to collection briefs by analyzing current season sales, conducting competitive analysis, and synthesizing regional needs.
- Oversee daily business operations and sell-throughs, implementing tailored action plans with regional teams.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Product Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Retail, E-commerce, and other Business Units to optimize product launches.
- Monitor boutique openings and optimize assortments based on deliveries.
- Propose opportunistic and permanent restocks.
- Ensure price positioning balance in various currencies, tracking currency fluctuations and competitive pricing.
- Define assortment and cluster strategies, constructing purchase strategies for each collection by cluster and region.
- Organize and manage showrooms, estimating total volumes per line and assisting in central pre-purchases.
- Update purchasing tools and boutique segmentation.
- Participate in the construction and monitoring of the OTB in collaboration with Product Marketing, Retail, Digital, and Supply Chain.
- Lead meetings with regional buyers, adjusting balances between lines, OTB adherence, assortments, and market preferences.
- Validate quantities per reference by region and define the permanent offer.
- Master's degree in Business, Merchandising, Luxury and Fashion Management, Retail, or Wholesale from a top-tier institution.
- Proven experience in team management and direct interactions with top management.
- Strong retail acumen and numerical proficiency.
- Deep sensitivity to the fashion and luxury sectors.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English; Italian is a plus.
- Dynamic, quick, autonomous, and proactive.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong analytical, synthesis, organizational, and initiative skills.
- High level of precision, detail orientation, and rigor.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, team spirit, and autonomy.
- Curious, open-minded, with strong communication, listening, and observational skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally for market visits.
A minimum of 7 years of proven experience in retail merchandising or buying roles, ideally within the fashion industry, with central experience preferred.
Master's degree in Business, Merchandising, Luxury and Fashion Management, Retail, or Wholesale.
