Christian Dior Merchandising Trainee

- Generate and analyze weekly sales reports, including store and business recaps, to ensure alignment with sales targets.
- Manage daily product shipping and deliveries, maintaining close communication with retail teams for product inquiries and business updates.
- Contribute innovative ideas to enhance business strategy and assist with weekly stock rebalances to optimize sales and sell-through.
- Monitor and track trunk show samples, and conduct comprehensive market analyses on competitive pricing and trends.
- Support the creation of seasonal launch tools, including buy book creation and strategic allocation adjustments.
- Assist during four seasonal buying markets, compiling premarket analysis and presenting strategies to managers.
- Prepare and analyze fast/slow seller reports, seasonal qualitative feedback, and end-of-season product recaps.
- Support the merchandising team with weekly reporting and ad-hoc analysis as required.
- Full-time availability for a 12-month program, Monday to Friday, with remote work on Fridays.
- At least 6 months of prior merchandising or buying experience, preferably in luxury retail, with a strong understanding of retail math and metrics.
- Excellent organizational skills and a results-driven mindset with the ability to independently solve problems.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with boutique teams.
- Creative thinking in business analysis and proficiency in merchandising software.
- Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing business demands and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office programs.
A minimum of 6 months of experience in merchandising or buying, ideally within the luxury retail sector, is required.
The role offers a salary of $20 per hour, with potential eligibility for the company's medical benefits plan, commuter benefits, and 401k plans with employer contributions.
