Chanel Senior Financial Accountant

- Oversee month-end closing processes for Australia and New Zealand, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Support the Manager in Financial Accounting & Reporting with specialized financial closing activities.
- Conduct operational and internal control activities, including asset audits, lease reviews, and stock counts.
- Assist with statutory compliance tasks, such as statutory account preparation and analysis.
- Maintain and update Chanel’s Chart of Accounts, ensuring adherence to internal controls.
- Escalate any professional or ethical misconduct, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- CPA qualification or progress towards CPA is required.
- Membership in professional accounting bodies such as ACCA is highly regarded.
- Expertise in month-end closing processes and financial reporting.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to build successful relationships through collaboration and consensus building.
Several years of experience in financial accounting, with a preference for retail industry exposure.
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or similar discipline.
