Chanel Packaging Materials Approval Engineer

- Serve as the primary reference for the packaging team in the approval of new materials.
- Collaborate with material and packaging suppliers to understand materials and identify potential impurities in packaging components such as materials, inks, varnishes, adhesives, and transformation additives.
- Act as the liaison with internal expertise laboratories for toxicological and regulatory evaluation of materials.
- Define and manage a materials database.
- Establish rules for extrapolation between material references.
- Support the innovation packaging service in studying and validating new materials, including recycled and bio-sourced materials.
- Conduct technical and regulatory monitoring of materials and impurities by participating in external working groups.
- Advanced degree (Bac+5) in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of plastic materials with multi-material knowledge (glass, aluminum, etc.).
- Expertise in packaging materials and cosmetics products.
- Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Initiative and proactive problem-solving abilities.
A minimum of 5 years in the domain of plastic materials, with a comprehensive understanding of various materials such as glass and aluminum.
Advanced degree (Bac+5) in a relevant field.
