Chanel Operations Manager, Facilities & Support Services

1. Lead day-to-day facilities management across the New South Wales estate, ensuring building services, preventive maintenance and statutory compliance are executed to luxury retail standards.
2. Develop and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts, SLAs and performance KPIs to optimise quality and cost.
3. Oversee security, fire safety, emergency preparedness and health & safety programmes, ensuring adherence to local regulations and internal policies.
4. Plan and control facilities budgets (OPEX and CAPEX), approve expenditures, and deliver cost efficiencies while protecting brand presentation and operational continuity.
5. Coordinate refurbishment, fitout and relocation projects from scope definition through handover, partnering with internal stakeholders and external contractors.
6. Implement sustainability and energy-efficiency initiatives for the estate and monitor environmental performance.
7. Provide concierge-style support for events, executive moves and store activations, ensuring seamless logistics and impeccable standards.
8. Establish reporting cadence and continuous-improvement programmes, using data to drive preventive maintenance and reduce downtime.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
2. Relevant professional certifications preferred (e.g., FM Institute accreditation, NEBOSH or equivalent health & safety qualification).
3. Demonstrable experience managing multi-site facilities within retail, luxury goods, hospitality or a similar customer-facing environment.
4. Proven ability to manage budgets, vendor contracts and capital projects with clear financial accountability.
5. Current right to work in Australia and valid local certifications for health & safety where required.

Typically 5+ years of progressive facilities or operations experience, including direct responsibility for multi-site estate operations, vendor oversight and capital projects; prior exposure to retail or luxury environments is highly desirable.

Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent professional experience; health & safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH) preferred.
