Burberry Merchandising Manager — Women's Leather Goods

- Own and drive the Critical Path for Women’s Accessories (bags, SLG, shoes, jewellery, eyewear and beauty) to deliver product range development and implementation of the Global Brand buy.
- Lead cross‑functional partnerships with Collection Merchandising, Product Development, Planning, Global Sourcing, Visual Merchandising, Marketing and Digital to influence category strategy and protect the brand.
- Analyse weekly and monthly sales reports, identify trends and propose proactive commercial actions to optimise sell‑through and inventory.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Retail leadership (Market Directors, Store Managers) to capture product feedback and market intelligence.
- Partner with Client Engagement to support client initiatives and local merchandising activations.
- Conduct and present competitor analysis and market insight to HQ and regional stakeholders to advocate for market needs.
- Develop, validate and monitor the seasonal range plan, including pricing, COO and competitive strategy, in collaboration with merchandising assistants and the Director of Merchandising.
- Present Brand buy to regional teams for market openings and contribute to assortment roll‑out decisions.
- Coach, inspire and develop the merchandising team, providing leadership to direct reports and delivering seasonal product training in partnership with the wider merchandising organisation.
- 5–7 years’ experience in merchandising or buying, preferably within retail and multi‑category luxury or premium brands.
- Proven people management experience, including direct line management and team development.
- Strong commercial instinct with demonstrable retail arithmetic and analytical capability.
- Deep passion for product and fashion trends, especially within accessories and leather goods.

5–7 years of hands‑on merchandising or buying experience, ideally within retail for a large multi‑category brand; demonstrable experience managing people and influencing cross‑functional stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Marketing or a related discipline preferred.
