Richemont — Prototypist in Scandicci: hands-on prototype and sample development for luxury fashion maisons.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Translate design and technical specifications into high-quality physical prototypes and first samples
  • Construct and finish prototypes using hand and machine techniques; execute complex sewing, stitching and assembly operations
  • Collaborate with design, pattern-making and product development teams to refine fit, construction and proportion through iterative sample rounds
  • Interpret technical packs, measurements and material guides; suggest constructive technical solutions to achieve design intent
  • Prepare and maintain sample-room inventory, track prototype versions and ensure samples are delivered on schedule for fittings and presentations
  • Conduct and document fit sessions, implement alterations and produce revised samples to final sign-off quality

Qualifications

  • Technical diploma or vocational qualification in fashion technology, pattern-making, apparel construction or equivalent
  • Demonstrable mastery of garment construction techniques, hand finishing and industrial sewing machines
  • Strong understanding of materials, linings, trims and luxury finishing techniques
  • Precision, strong visual and tactile attention to detail, and a commitment to luxury-quality standards
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate technical issues

Experience
