Donzé-Baume in Les Breuleux, Switzerland seeks a Buyer to lead procurement, supplier management and sourcing for precision manufacturing.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and execute procurement strategy for assigned categories to ensure continuity of supply, cost competitiveness and alignment with product quality targets
  • Source, qualify and develop suppliers; lead commercial negotiations and contractual arrangements
  • Manage RFQ and tender processes, analyse proposals and recommend supplier selection based on total cost of ownership
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality and production teams to translate specifications into procurement requirements and resolve non-conformances
  • Monitor supplier performance through KPIs; implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain inventory targets through demand forecasting, order planning and liaison with planning/warehouse teams
  • Ensure procurement compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements, and support sustainability and traceability objectives
  • Prepare procurement reports and contribute to budgeting and cost saving projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business administration, engineering or equivalent professional experience
  • Proven negotiation skills and commercial acumen in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience managing suppliers and contracts in a technically demanding sector
  • Strong analytical ability and comfort with pricing, total cost analysis and KPI tracking
  • Fluency in French is strongly recommended for this location; professional English is an advantage
