Comadur — Boncourt, Switzerland — Quality Technician to ensure conformity of watch components and lead continuous improvement projects.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Ensure conformity of watch‑case and dial components to internal specifications and customer requirements through inspection, testing and control activities.
  • Lead and deploy continuous improvement projects to stabilise, industrialise and optimise manufacturing processes in close collaboration with production teams.
  • Perform on‑site technical investigations, root‑cause analyses and corrective/preventive actions for quality incidents.
  • Analyse quality data and process indicators (SPC) to identify trends, propose improvements and validate results.
  • Coordinate and manage a small team of technicians responsible for implementing improvement actions and sustaining process changes.
  • Document non‑conformities, generate technical reports and follow up on CAPA/8D processes with cross‑functional stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Vocational diploma (CFC) or degree in watchmaking, mechanical engineering, materials science or quality management; equivalent technical qualifications accepted.
  • Proven experience in quality control and continuous improvement within precision manufacturing or the watch industry.
  • Practical knowledge of quality methodologies such as root cause analysis, 8D, FMEA and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Ability to read technical drawings and work with precision metrology equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate technician teams on the shop floor.

Experience

Vocational diploma (CFC) or bachelor's degree in watchmaking, mechanical engineering, materials science or quality/industrial engineering.

This position is based in Boncourt, Jura, Switzerland, within easy reach of Basel.
