1. Ensure accurate and efficient processing of all shipping and receiving functions affecting store inventory.
2. Maintain a clean and organized storage and receiving area, ensuring merchandise is properly labeled and equipped with security devices.
3. Guarantee accurate processing of all incoming shipments, returns to vendors, chargebacks, transfers, and damaged items according to company policies and procedures.
4. Adhere to established company policies and standards, including asset protection, personnel management practices, and record-keeping procedures.
5. Communicate with the distribution center and/or company inventory control department.
6. Participate in inventories and cycle counts.
7. Assist with store layout changes, merchandising setups, display maintenance, and general upkeep.
8. Contribute to in-store price updates.
9. Assist with customer purchase packaging as needed.
10. Help resolve issues and propose suggestions to improve service and productivity in the receiving area.
11. Participate in store meetings and training seminars as required.
12. Perform any other tasks assigned by a manager.

1. Ability to effectively manage receiving operations, including proper merchandise handling.
2. Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and follow-up skills.
3. Ability to read, count, and write accurately to complete required documentation.
4. Proficiency in processing information and merchandise using a computer system.
5. Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
6. Proficiency in using necessary equipment, including phone systems, inventory management software, stock control systems, and security tag removers.
7. Availability to work varied hours (days, evenings, weekends, holidays).
8. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, move and handle boxes and displays, including heavy lifting.
