Chanel — Portfolio and Governance Manager, North Asia & SEAA in Hong Kong. Lead regional portfolio strategy, governance and cross‑market execution.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and execute regional portfolio strategy across North Asia and SEAA, ensuring alignment with global brand objectives and local market dynamics.
  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks, processes and decision‑rights for assortment, range optimisation, lifecycle management and product allocation.
  • Lead cross‑functional governance forums with commercial, merchandising, finance, supply chain and market leadership to approve launches, price changes and range decisions.
  • Develop and monitor KPI dashboards and regular performance reporting (assortment health, sell‑through, margin, inventory ageing), providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Conduct financial and scenario analysis to inform assortment trade‑offs, markdown strategies and replenishment priorities.
  • Coordinate regional rollout plans for product launches and collections, ensuring market readiness, compliance and timing consistency.
  • Identify portfolio risks and opportunities, driving corrective action plans and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, merchandising or a related discipline; advanced degree a plus.
  • Proven track record in portfolio management, merchandising or commercial strategy within luxury fashion or premium retail.
  • Demonstrated experience operating across North Asian and Southeast Asian markets, with strong stakeholder management in matrix organisations.
  • Advanced analytical capability with experience in KPI development, financial modelling and commercial decision support.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills suitable for executive reporting and cross‑border collaboration.

Experience
