Chanel in Paris seeks an Operations Coordinator (Contract) for its Galeries Lafayette Haussmann boutique — manage in‑store operations and inventory.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day operational activity of the Chanel boutique within Galeries Lafayette Haussmann, ensuring seamless service delivery and adherence to brand standards.
- Coordinate inventory flows — receiving, quality checks, stock replenishment and transfers — in collaboration with warehouse and central logistics teams.
- Liaise with Galeries Lafayette store management and Chanel central teams to align store operations, merchandising plans and promotional events.
- Support visual merchandising implementation and boutique layout changes to guarantee fidelity to Chanel presentation guidelines.
- Maintain administrative processes including daily reporting, sales reconciliation support, rostering coordination and documentation for audits.
- Assist in preparation and execution of product launches, private client events and seasonal activations at the department store location.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, loss prevention and corporate operating procedures within the boutique.
Qualifications
- Proven operational experience in luxury retail or department store concessions (typically 2–4 years).
- Strong organizational and prioritisation skills with ability to manage simultaneous operational tasks under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to work constructively with third‑party retailers and internal brand teams.
- High attention to detail and commitment to brand standards and client experience.
- Proficiency with standard office software; experience with inventory or POS systems preferred.
- Fluent French; professional working knowledge of English advantageous.
- Availability to work retail hours, including weekends and peak seasonal periods as required by the concession schedule.
Skills
Experience
Typically 2–4 years of progressive experience in retail operations or concession management within a luxury fashion house or premium department store environment; demonstrable exposure to inventory control and in‑store execution is expected.
Education
Secondary education completed; a degree or diploma in retail management, business or a related discipline is preferred but equivalent practical experience will be considered.
