- Handcraft individual leather goods according to technical specifications: cutting, skiving, gluing, stitching and assembly.
- Execute high‑precision hand and machine stitching (including saddle stitching) and finish edges to Maison standards.
- Perform final finishing and quality control to ensure conformity with aesthetic and functional requirements.
- Interpret technical drawings, patterns and production sheets; prepare components for downstream assembly.
- Maintain and calibrate tools and machines used in leather manufacture; report and escalate material or production issues.
- Collaborate with the production team and supervisors to meet delivery schedules and continuous‑improvement targets.
- Vocational qualification in leather goods (CAP maroquinerie) or equivalent apprenticeship training preferred.
- Demonstrable manual dexterity and fine motor skills with strong attention to finish and detail.
- Knowledge of leather types, adhesives and finishing products used in luxury leather production.
- Ability to read technical patterns and follow precise work instructions; strong commitment to quality and consistency.
- Capacity to work in a production environment, adhere to safety practices and maintain workplace organisation (5S principles desirable).
- Pattern cutting and component preparation
- Skiving (leather thinning)
- Saddle/hand stitching and machine stitching
- Edge finishing and burnishing
- Gluing and press assembly techniques
- Final inspection and quality control
Minimum two years' experience in leather goods manufacture or an equivalent artisan role; prior experience in luxury or small‑series production is highly valued.
Vocational diploma (e.g. CAP maroquinerie) or completed apprenticeship in leather goods; equivalent practical experience accepted.
