The brand places a premium on artisanal craftsmanship, product integrity and an elevated client experience, and it operates ateliers and boutiques worldwide that reflect those standards.
Chanel in Taipei is hiring a Jewellery After‑Sales & Quality Control Associate to manage QC, repairs and client service for fine jewellery.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform detailed quality control inspections of finished jewellery and watches, including assessment of stones, settings, metalwork and finishes against Chanel standards.
- Manage after‑sales service cases from intake through resolution: triage issues, estimate repairs, coordinate with internal workshops or external suppliers, and follow up with boutiques and clients.
- Execute or supervise technical repairs and maintenance activities—stone resetting, soldering, polishing, sizing and movement checks—ensuring workmanship meets brand quality.
- Document all work with clear technical reports, QC checklists, photographs and warranty records; maintain repair logs and traceability for each client case.
- Liaise with retail teams to advise on technical issues, provide client-facing explanations of repairs and timelines, and uphold brand service promises.
- Maintain spare parts inventory, tooling and bench standards; ensure compliance with safety, material handling and brand-specific technical protocols.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring defects, recommending preventive measures and participating in quality reviews with atelier partners.
Qualifications
- Professional training or certification in jewellery benchwork, gemology, horology or a related vocational field.
- Proven technical competence in fine jewellery repair and finishing techniques, including soldering, stone setting and polishing.
- Familiarity with gemstone characteristics, metal alloys (gold, platinum) and wear/repair considerations for high‑value pieces.
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity and the ability to maintain consistent quality under time constraints.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with boutiques, workshops and clients while preserving brand tone and discretion.
