Chanel in Paris seeks an Integration & Architecture Director to lead enterprise integration, API and cloud strategy for global IT.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and drive the global integration and enterprise architecture strategy, including API strategy, cloud architecture and integration patterns.
- Design scalable, secure integration solutions and enforce architectural standards, governance and roadmaps across domains.
- Lead, mentor and scale a multi-disciplinary architecture and integration team; recruit and represent the function to senior stakeholders.
- Own vendor selection and management for integration platforms, middleware and API management; negotiate SLAs and commercial terms.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, security and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Oversee cloud migration and hybrid architectures, ensuring operational resilience, cost optimisation and compliance.
- Establish observability, testing and CI/CD practices for integration flows and platform components.
- Drive technical due diligence for acquisitions, partnerships and third-party integrations when required.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership in enterprise architecture and integration at scale; demonstrable track record of delivering cross-domain technical programmes.
- Strong executive stakeholder management and ability to translate business strategy into technical direction.
- Experience with vendor evaluation and commercial governance for integration platforms and middleware.
- Thought leadership in API-first design, microservices and cloud-native architectures.
- TOGAF, ArchiMate or equivalent architecture qualification preferred.
Skills
Experience
Typically 10+ years in IT with at least 5 years in senior roles leading enterprise architecture, integration or platform engineering teams; experience in retail, luxury goods or global consumer-facing organisations is highly desirable.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent; Master's degree or relevant professional certifications preferred.

The successful candidate will be located in Paris, Île-de-France, France.
