Benefit Cosmetics Legal Counsel, Intellectual Property and Marketing

1. Manage and maintain Benefit Cosmetics' global intellectual property program, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
2. Support global anti-counterfeiting efforts and collaborate with outside counsel on trademark disputes.
3. Draft bi-annual memorandums on IP, marketing, and anti-counterfeiting, highlighting key wins, risks, and trends.
4. Provide legal counsel to global marketing teams to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
5. Develop and deliver intellectual property and marketing training to global business teams.
6. Collaborate with global teams to substantiate and leverage product claims for packaging and marketing campaigns.
7. Work in conjunction with LVMH Legal Departments and external counsels as needed.

1. J.D. degree and active bar membership in at least one state (California preferred).
2. Global experience in intellectual property required; global marketing business partnership experience preferred.
3. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in corporate practice, with a preference for in-house experience.
4. Proficiency in IP portfolio management and related software.

1. Expertise in trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement.
2. Experience with anti-counterfeit programs.
3. Ability to advise marketing teams on campaign compliance.
4. Proficiency in MS Office programs.

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in corporate practice, with a strong preference for in-house experience.

J.D. degree and active bar membership in at least one state.

The target salary range for this position in California is $130,000 - $164,000 annually, with eligibility for an annual bonus.
