CNC Machining Programmer

1. Program tool paths using CAM software for small component machining on a 5-axis CNC.
2. Define machining strategies, fixtures, and cutting tools.
3. Participate in the redesign of CAD models and detailed plans for machining.
4. Collaborate with CAD designers to review 3D models and component plans.
5. Coordinate with CAD/Methods/Quality/Expert teams to ensure project feasibility.
6. Manage the industrialization schedule for machining parts, including machining processes and fixture design.
7. Determine machining processes and strategies.
8. Design and model fixtures in CAD for various machining phases.
9. Create CAM programs for tool paths.
10. Design fixtures and oversee their production, internally or externally.
11. Select cutting tools and manage supplier contacts in collaboration with the CNC Setter.
12. Determine cutting parameters and manage the CAM software library for cutting tools and parameters.
13. Read and modify NC programs in ISO code.
14. Inspect machined parts and provide technical support for machining.
15. Read ISO GPS dimensioned plans and define appropriate inspection methods.
16. Use workshop inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and profile projectors.
17. Provide technical support to the CNC Setter for setup and inspection of parts and program corrections.

1. Proficiency in CAM programming.
2. Ability to read and modify NC programs in ISO code.
3. Strong understanding of machining processes and strategies.
4. Experience with CAD modeling and fixture design.
5. Familiarity with workshop inspection tools.

Experience in CNC machining programming and working with 5-axis CNC machines is required.
