- Design, plan, and implement network solutions, including LANs, WANs, WLANs, and VPNs.
- Evaluate and recommend network hardware and software technologies.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues.
- Perform network maintenance and upgrades, including patching, firmware updates, and hardware replacements.
- Manage and maintain network security devices, such as firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to understand network requirements.
- Lead and mentor a team of network engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
- Implement and maintain network security policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and trends.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for network infrastructure.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including SD-WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and firewalls.
- Experience with network security best practices.
- Experience leading and mentoring a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
- Ability to decode and analyze packet captures.
- Hands-on experience with Meraki Dashboard and Cisco DNA.
Minimum of 6+ years in network engineering, with experience in leading and mentoring a team.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
