- Conduct meticulous inspections of serviced jewelry, silver goods, watches, and other luxury items using established standards and specifications.
- Document and communicate inspection results to the Repair Services team and Operations staff to ensure quality meets client expectations.
- Assist in resolving quality issues and propose solutions to enhance service levels.
- Participate in the training and development of new team members.
- Manage the workflow of orders through the department, prioritizing tasks to meet client deadlines.
- Maintain systematic records and reports to capture inspection results and identify trends.
- Collaborate with technicians and management to improve overall service quality.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in the jewelry industry
- Completion of Graduate Gemology degree or GIA courses
- Previous experience in Quality Assurance
- Experience using microscopes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Flexible work schedule with the ability to work overtime, including weekends
- Customer service orientation
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Expertise in jewelry inspection and quality assurance
- Proficiency in using microscopes for extended periods
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to identify and resolve quality issues
- Proficiency in relevant software applications
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the jewelry industry is required.
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a Graduate Gemology degree or GIA courses is essential.
The hiring range for this position is $25 - $34 per hour, depending on the candidate's relevant skills and experience.
