1. Collaborate with management on the responsible procurement of gemstones, ensuring alignment with demand and supplier communication.
2. Review and manage procurement changes, communicating priorities to cross-functional teams.
3. Ensure data integrity throughout the procurement process.
4. Work with the Gemstone Grading Lab and Operations to streamline processes and improve workflow.
5. Monitor priority orders and ensure gemological needs are met.
6. Ensure timely processing of supplier payments and address any issues with management.
7. Support management in responsible sourcing and sustainability initiatives.
8. Partner with management to research and facilitate product development projects.
9. Assess product samples to ensure they meet established parameters.
10. Provide buying support for stone procurement as needed for product launches.
11. Develop and maintain product style sheets for graders.
12. Maintain gemological knowledge and support grading goals across all gemstone categories.

1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
2. Graduate Gemologist Degree preferred.

4. Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to partner effectively.
5. Familiarity with grading lab practices and procedures.
6. Proficiency in J.D. Edwards and MS Office programs.
7. Ability to photograph stones.
8. Knowledge of grading laboratory equipment.

Minimum 3 years of experience in gemstone procurement or a related field.

Graduate Gemologist Degree preferred.

The hiring range for this position is $70,125.00 - $82,500.00, dependent on relevant skills and experience.
