- Perform finishing and cleaning of new and customer-owned jewelry, watches, flatware, hollowware, and fancy goods.
- Work with a variety of metals, including platinum, and gemstones, employing techniques such as buffing, lapping, thrumming, satin finishing, sandblasting, hand polishing, ultrasonic and steam cleaning, and rhodium plating.
- Ensure all craft work adheres to Tiffany quality and design standards, inspecting orders for defects and performing or escalating repairs as needed.
- Maintain organized records of assigned orders, ensuring timely completion and adherence to due dates.
- Develop and apply deep product knowledge, including materials and repair techniques, while proactively seeking skill and technique improvements.
- Comply with health and safety requirements, maintaining a risk-free workstation and reporting any safety incidents.
- Support service center operations by assisting with workflow management, participating in special projects, and maintaining common areas and equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a production or repair polisher, jeweler, or silversmith
- Successful completion of a Tiffany & Co. polishing bench test
- Proficiency in verbal and written English
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, holidays, and weekends
- Expertise in metal finishing techniques
- Knowledge of jewelry materials and gemstone sensitivity
- Organizational skills for managing orders and materials
- Ability to collaborate and share skills with coworkers
- Adherence to health and safety protocols
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in jewelry repair or metal finishing.
High school diploma or equivalent
The hiring range for this position is $19 - $34 per hour, dependent on skills and experience.
