- Lead and oversee day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable team for the Northern Europe cluster, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing.
- Manage the end-to-end invoice lifecycle: receipt, verification, posting to the accounting system and scheduling of payments in line with company policies.
- Supervise matching of invoices to purchase orders and ensure authorized approvals are obtained prior to payment execution.
- Drive reconciliation of vendor statements, investigate discrepancies and ensure resolution to maintain vendor relationships and ledger accuracy.
- Maintain meticulous accounting documentation, vendor files and master data records to support audit readiness and month-end close.
- Prepare and analyse AP aging and other reports; contribute insight and action plans to the month-end closing process.
- Coach, mentor and develop AP team members, delivering training and performance feedback to enhance team capability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (procurement, treasury, local offices) to streamline workflows and resolve AP-related issues.
- Completed vocational training as Steuerfachangestellte or certified Buchhalter (IHK), or a degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounts payable, including at least 2–3 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Comprehensive knowledge of sales tax law, travel expense regulations, invoice verification procedures, master data maintenance and payment systems.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in coaching, performance management and team development.
- Highly structured, detail-oriented approach with strong accuracy and reliability.
- Proactive problem-solver able to identify process improvements and implement effective solutions.
- Fluent communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken.

Extensive accounts payable experience is required: typically 5+ years in AP functions with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or team lead role responsible for daily operations and staff development.
Vocational qualification as Steuerfachangestellte or Buchhalter (IHK), or a degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline.
