Longines Retail & Wholesale Trainer at Swatch Group in Milan — lead product and sales training for retail and wholesale teams across Italy.

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and deliver product, sales and clienteling training programmes for Longines retail and wholesale teams across Italy.
  • Create and maintain training materials, e-learning modules and assessment tools that reflect brand positioning, product knowledge and customer experience standards.
  • Coordinate with brand, regional and corporate stakeholders to align training content with product launches, collections and commercial initiatives.
  • Assess trainee performance through evaluations and store observations; deliver coaching and corrective action plans to raise retail KPIs and wholesale partner capability.
  • Support boutique and corporate store openings, wholesale onboarding and merchandising/set-up to ensure consistent brand presentation and service standards.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and produce regular reports and recommendations to senior management to improve learning outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to design and deliver training in retail and wholesale environments, ideally within luxury watches, jewellery or premium fashion.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience translating product knowledge into sales behaviour and measurable retail performance.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation and coaching skills; comfortable delivering to small and large audiences and to management-level stakeholders.
  • Mobility and flexibility to travel to boutiques and wholesale partners across Italy; readiness to support weekend or evening activities as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, hospitality, education or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience; certifications in L&D or training facilitation are advantageous.
  • Fluent Italian and professional command of English to operate in cross-border, brand and corporate contexts.

Experience

Several years (typically 3–6+) of hands-on experience in retail learning & development, merchandising training or store operations within the luxury watch, jewellery or premium retail sector; demonstrable success improving sales performance through targeted training interventions.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, hospitality, education or equivalent; professional certification in training/learning & development preferred.
