Sephora Talent and Store Operations Manager

- Lead store people operations including recruiting, interviewing and final selection for key store roles, using the online applicant tracking system as required.
- Design and execute the store’s ongoing training and development strategy in partnership with Store Director and Education partners; oversee onboarding and continuous learning for Beauty Advisors and Department Leads.
- Create and approve weekly schedules and time-off requests; manage the store payroll process to ensure timely and accurate submission aligned with regional and company guidelines.
- Conduct performance management activities including annual performance reviews, ongoing feedback, development plans and participation in formal performance improvement processes.
- Maintain operational excellence: oversee inventory control (shipping, receiving, returns, tester and supply control), cycle counts and execution of Sephora’s operational standards.
- Act as a commercial steward for the store by monitoring sales performance, staffing levels, payroll and controllable expenses to drive profitability.
- Collaborate closely with the Store Director, Client Experience and Beauty Services Managers to ensure consistent guest experience and store execution.
- 2–4 years of people management experience in beauty, retail or customer service, or equivalent internal experience.
- Proven experience recruiting, staffing and hiring across store roles, including leadership positions.
- Track record of building and developing high‑performing retail teams and identifying in‑store talent.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver difficult feedback and handle performance‑management situations with composure and managerial courage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to perform physical tasks required in retail: bend, stretch and lift up to 50 pounds.

2–4 years of management experience in beauty, retail or customer service (or equivalent internal experience) with demonstrable experience in recruiting, staff development, scheduling/payroll and store operations.
High school diploma or equivalent required; post‑secondary education in business, human resources or retail management preferred.
