Rolex Tribology Intern

- Operate and maintain experimental laboratory equipment for tribological and surface characterisation.
- Plan and execute friction and wear experiments on tribometers and other tribological test rigs.
- Perform surface topography measurements and process experimental data using appropriate software tools.
- Interpret and synthesise results; present findings at regular project progress meetings.
- Document work in formal reports and prepare presentations summarising outcomes and recommendations.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or Materials Science with strong interest in tribology.
- Practical experience in surface characterisation techniques.
- Basic theoretical knowledge of tribology is advantageous.
- Familiarity with data analysis workflows and willingness to work with RStudio.
- Demonstrated rigour, strong organisational skills, methodical approach and intellectual curiosity.
- Autonomous, proactive and able to work effectively within an R&D team.

Prior laboratory experience with surface characterisation is preferred; hands‑on exposure to tribometers or wear testing apparatus is an asset. Demonstrable experience analysing experimental datasets and producing technical reports is desirable.
Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or Materials Science.
