Rolex Robotics and AI Prototyping Intern

- Analyse functional and technical specifications for an adaptive robotic interaction system.
- Research and evaluate sensor technologies relevant to detection and analysis of specific dynamic phenomena.
- Develop perception and signal-processing algorithms for robotic applications.
- Integrate sensors and actuators onto an existing robotic platform.
- Program the robot to orchestrate reactive, context-aware behaviours.
- Conduct testing, calibration and optimisation cycles to ensure prototype precision, responsiveness and reliability.
- Document software and hardware architecture as well as development and test procedures.
- Contribute to team discussions on improvements and future evolutions of interactive robots.
- Regularly present project progress to the innovation team and stakeholders.
- Currently enrolled in a Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Python and C++.
- Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System) or equivalent robotic frameworks.
- Demonstrable experience in image processing and/or robotic perception.
- Knowledge of sensor integration (2D/3D cameras, motion sensors) and signal processing.
- Strong analytical, synthesis and technical documentation skills.
- Autonomous, proactive and able to propose improvements.

Significant practical experience in image processing and/or robotic perception obtained through academic projects, laboratory work or prior internships; hands-on experience integrating sensors and developing perception algorithms for robotic platforms.
Currently enrolled in a Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
