Rolex Polisher Apprentice (AFP)

1. Perform a range of finishing operations on watch components — polishing, satin finishing, burnishing (avivage) — to achieve the aesthetic and dimensional standards specified by the client.
2. Work autonomously and reliably on assigned parts while meeting productivity and quality targets.
3. Inspect surfaces continuously and apply corrective micro‑work to ensure flawless finishes.
4. Prepare, maintain and adapt hand tools and micro‑abrasive media; ensure workstations are clean and compliant with safety and quality protocols.
5. Participate actively in formal apprenticeship training under the supervision of experienced instructors and progressively assume greater technical responsibilities.
6. Document production tasks and escalate discrepancies to supervisors to support traceability and continuous improvement.

2. Capacity for sustained concentration, patience and meticulous attention to detail.
3. Genuine interest in metalworking, fine mechanics or watchmaking.
4. Motivation to undertake a certified apprenticeship (AFP) and to learn through hands‑on training.
5. Application package to include curriculum vitae, cover letter and school reports from the last three academic years.

Entry-level apprenticeship; no prior professional polishing experience required. Practical interest in manual trades, school workshop experience or hobbyist metalwork is advantageous.

Completion of compulsory schooling and eligibility for a Swiss vocational apprenticeship (AFP). Candidates must supply school reports for the three most recent academic years.
