Rolex Mechanical Engineering Intern — Ultrasonic Pressing Optimization

- Design fixtures and holding systems to enable ultrasonic extraction/ejection of watch components with controlled decentring.
- Define and implement an experimental plan (DOE) covering relevant process parameters.
- Perform laboratory tests and measure/evaluate ejection (chassing) forces under varying conditions.
- Analyse statistical influences on process outcomes and identify key factors.
- Develop a predictive model to forecast process behaviour and establish the optimal operating window.
- Validate model predictions with practical case studies representative of target production situations.
- Currently enrolled in a Master's programme in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Solid knowledge of general mechanics and mechanical design principles.
- Proficiency in statistical methods and experimental design.
- Comfortable working with and handling very small, precision components.
- Autonomous, rigorous and highly meticulous; strong attention to detail.
- Availability for a 4–6 month internship.

Student level internship; hands‑on laboratory or manufacturing experience with experimental testing and micro‑component manipulation is desirable but not mandatory.
