- Define and communicate the machining vision in partnership with management and technical stakeholders.
- Provide technical expertise for new-product development projects and associated manufacturing processes.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance machining performance, quality and productivity.
- Support production teams by troubleshooting process deviations and resolving daily manufacturing issues.
- Maintain technological watch in machining methods and related domains; evaluate and propose new technologies.
- Ensure proactive cross‑functional communication of machining activities and project status to relevant interlocutors.
- Advanced degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or equivalent technical diploma.
- Proven experience in machining within the watchmaking or high-precision micro‑manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of adjacent dial‑making processes (surface treatments, bonding, cleaning/degreasing) is an asset.
- Strong analytical and synthesizing skills with a methodical approach to problem solving.
- Demonstrated team orientation with excellent interpersonal communication.
- Natural leadership and pedagogical ability to motivate and federate multidisciplinary teams.
- Machining expertise (precision/CNC) applied to watchmaking components
- Process industrialisation and transfer to production
- Continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen/Lean principles)
- Root‑cause analysis and manufacturing troubleshooting
- Technology scouting and evaluation
- Cross‑functional communication and team leadership
Several years of hands‑on experience in machining and process industrialization within a watchmaking or comparable precision manufacturing environment, including participation in new‑product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Advanced technical diploma or degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent industrial qualification.
