Richemont R&I Intern — AI Exploration & Development

- Support the Research & Innovation team in exploring state-of-the-art AI and machine learning methods applicable to luxury retail, product, and operational use cases.
- Design, implement and iterate on small-scale prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate algorithms and approaches.
- Prepare and preprocess datasets; implement data pipelines and feature engineering workflows.
- Train, evaluate and compare models using reproducible experiment tracking; document methodology and results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (product, engineering, data) to translate research outcomes into actionable prototypes.
- Conduct literature reviews, benchmark external solutions and propose avenues for further R&I exploration.
- Contribute to technical documentation, presentations and knowledge-sharing sessions; present findings to internal teams.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Solid grounding in machine learning fundamentals (supervised/unsupervised learning, evaluation metrics, overfitting mitigation).
- Strong programming proficiency, particularly in Python, with experience implementing ML models from end to end.
- Demonstrable academic projects or internship experience in AI/ML, with tangible results or prototypes.
- Good analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Practical experience through academic projects, research assignments or prior internships involving machine learning model development, data preprocessing, and prototype delivery; prior exposure to production-oriented tooling and experiment tracking is advantageous.
Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering or equivalent.
