- Develop and execute a comprehensive European government affairs strategy aligned with global business priorities.
- Monitor and analyze EU and national-level policy developments impacting the luxury industry, including sustainability, trade, digital policy, consumer protection, labor laws, and taxation.
- Craft and disseminate company messaging for EU policy audiences consistently across Member States.
- Establish and maintain relationships with European institutions, national governments, and regulatory bodies.
- Represent Richemont in industry associations, coalitions, and trade groups.
- Lead stakeholder engagement with NGOs, academia, and opinion leaders to advocate for relevant public policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align government affairs initiatives.
- Advise senior leadership on legislative and policy risks, providing strategic counsel on political and regulatory trends.
- 10+ years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or international relations, preferably within the luxury industry, consumer goods, or retail sectors.
- Extensive knowledge of the EU policymaking process and experience engaging with European institutions.
- Strong network of policymakers, regulators, NGOs, and industry stakeholders across Europe.
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful advocacy campaigns across Europe.
- Fluency in English and French; proficiency in German and/or Italian is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in building a new function.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Proficiency in developing and executing advocacy campaigns.
A minimum of 10 years in government affairs, public policy, or international relations, with a preference for experience within the luxury industry, consumer goods, or retail sectors.
