Richemont Dismantling & Case Preparation Technician

- Disassemble and reassemble watch cases and associated components with strict adherence to manufacturer tolerances and service procedures.
- Prepare cases for polishing, plating and finishing: ultrasonic cleaning, corrosion control, masking and fixture setup.
- Perform surface finishing tasks in coordination with polishers and platers; apply brushing, polishing and compounding preparation standards.
- Conduct dimensional and visual inspections using micrometers, calipers and microscopes; document and report non‑conformities.
- Maintain workshop tooling and jigs, ensure cleanliness and compliance with ESD and contamination‑control protocols.
- Record work steps and part condition in service management systems and liaise with watchmakers, QC and supply chain to prioritise repairs.
- Vocational diploma or apprenticeship in watchmaking, jewellery, precision metalwork or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven manual dexterity and fine motor skills; excellent visual acuity for micro‑work.
- Sound understanding of materials used in watch cases (stainless steel, precious metals, titanium, ceramic) and their finishing properties.
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow brand‑specific service guides and tolerances.
- Knowledge of workshop safety, contamination control and basic metallurgical behaviour (plating, wear, corrosion).

- Metrology: micrometers, calipers, loupe/microscope inspection
- Workshop tooling and jig maintenance
- Service documentation and part traceability
Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in watch case dismantling, case preparation or precision metal finishing within luxury watchmaking, high‑end jewellery repair or an equivalent precision manufacturing environment. Experience with brand after‑sales standards and service workflows is preferred.
Vocational qualification in watchmaking (horlogerie), jewellery or precision metalwork, or equivalent apprenticeship with demonstrable workshop experience.
