- Develop and implement innovative materials to enhance product performance, aesthetics, and sustainability.
- Collaborate with Design, Product Development, and Production teams to align material solutions with brand strategy.
- Source and test new materials with global suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality and technical standards.
- Monitor industry trends and technologies to apply cutting-edge material innovations to future collections.
- Build and maintain material libraries with swatches, textures, and treatments for design reference.
- Ensure materials meet functional, aesthetic, and sustainability goals, actively contributing to prototype reviews.
- Focus on sustainability by exploring and developing eco-friendly materials and solutions aligned with company goals.
- Degree in Industrial Product Design, Materials/Textile Design, or related disciplines.
- 3-5 years of experience in material development within the Fashion & Luxury Industry (experience in sportswear/performance fashion is a plus).
- Comprehensive knowledge of fabrics, fibers, surface treatments, and material technologies.
- Strong aesthetic sensibility combined with technical and performance expertise.
- Solid commitment to sustainability and familiarity with eco-friendly material solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to scout, evaluate, and manage international suppliers.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively present proposals and support strategic decision-making.
- Innovative and proactive mindset with a strong orientation toward future trends and technologies.
- Fluency in Italian and English.
3-5 years of experience in material development within the Fashion & Luxury Industry, with a preference for experience in sportswear/performance fashion.
Degree in Industrial Product Design, Materials/Textile Design, or related disciplines.
