Prada Group Fabric & Trims Research and Purchasing Specialist

- Lead research activities for fabrics and trims for Prada women's VIP, VIC and Specials categories, defining research briefs in alignment with the Style office and coordinating attendance at relevant fairs and events.
- Develop and maintain a dedicated archive of celebrities fabrics and manage fabric sampling cycles, reviewing swatches on-site or at supplier facilities and requesting prototypes as required.
- Assess raw material needs, plan and execute purchases of fabrics and accessories, issue and monitor purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery against production schedules.
- Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers, prepare supply contracts and purchase orders, and identify best-value sourcing opportunities.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Style, Product, Warehouse, Pricing and Production to align material availability with collection and runway requirements.
- Maintain quality standards for incoming materials, report and resolve fabric irregularities, and liaise with laboratories and suppliers for prototype and collection sample production.
- Contribute to supplier evaluation and onboarding, ensuring compliance with Group directives and regulatory standards.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Fashion Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–4 years' experience in raw materials research or purchasing within textile or fashion companies.
- Proven negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships and commercial agreements.
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight timelines.
- Proactive, flexible mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.

3–4 years of hands-on experience in materials research or purchasing within the textile or fashion industry, ideally with exposure to high-end apparel and runway/collection sample production.
Bachelor's degree (preferably in Fashion Management or a related field).
