1. Execute precise setting of diamonds and coloured gemstones on jewellery and watch components according to technical drawings and quality standards.
2. Select and prepare stones and metal seats; perform pavé, prong, bezel and other specialist setting techniques with consistent finish.
3. Operate microscopes and hand tools (gravers, burnishers, micro-motors) to achieve haute‑joaillerie tolerances and surface finishing.
4. Conduct in‑process and final quality control checks to verify stone security, alignment, height and polish; rectify defects when necessary.
5. Maintain setting equipment and workbench hygiene; follow gem handling, inventory and traceability procedures.
6. Collaborate with design, prototyping and quality teams to resolve technical issues and meet production schedule targets.

1. Completed vocational training or apprenticeship in jewellery, goldsmithing or horology (or equivalent certification).
2. Demonstrable manual dexterity and excellent visual acuity under magnification.
3. Thorough understanding of precious metals and gemstone properties; safe handling and care procedures.
4. Ability to read technical drawings and follow production specifications accurately.
5. Fluent adherence to luxury quality standards and confidentiality in handling high‑value pieces.
