Piaget Project Engineer — Machining & Industrialization

- Lead end-to-end industrialization projects for machined components, from feasibility studies through production transfer and ramp-up.
- Define and validate machining methods, process parameters, tooling and fixtures to meet precision, quality and cost targets.
- Collaborate with R&D, design, quality, procurement and external suppliers to ensure manufacturability and supply readiness.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation: process sheets, work instructions, control plans and first-article reports.
- Oversee CNC programming and CAM/CAD deliverables and coordinate trials, pilot runs and capability studies.
- Implement continuous-improvement actions to optimize cycle times, scrap rates and production robustness.
- Manage project timelines, budgets and risk registers; present project status to stakeholders and escalate as required.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory or industry-specific requirements for precision components.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven technical knowledge of machining processes (turning, milling, grinding, EDM) and precision manufacturing.
- Strong command of GD&T and ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and tolerances.
- Demonstrated project-management capability, including planning, risk mitigation and cross-functional coordination.
- Experience working with external suppliers and managing supplier industrialization and qualification.
- High standards of attention to detail and a pragmatic approach to problem solving in a precision environment.
- CNC programming principles (Fanuc / Siemens / Heidenhain environments)
- CAM software (e.g. Mastercam, hyperMILL) — experience with CAM workflows
- CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks, CATIA) for component review and drawing interpretation
- GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- FMEA and process qualification methodologies
- Project management and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
Typically 3+ years in machining, process development or industrialization within precision industries (watchmaking, aerospace, medical devices or high‑precision mechanical components). Proven track record delivering production transfers and process validations.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a closely related discipline.
